What is Vision?
Vision is the national FCC research panel with more than 9,000 members from across Canada. Vision lets the members share their ideas and opinions about Canadian agriculture and how FCC can best serve this exciting, growing industry.
Who is on the Vision panel?
The panel includes members involved in primary production, those involved at all levels of the ag-value system, and those whose businesses have a direct association with the agriculture industry from coast to coast (see below).
Primary production members include producers of:
- Cash Crops/Grains
- Specialty Crops
- Dairy
- Poultry
- Beef
- Hogs

What can I expect as a Vision member?
As a Vision member, you may get invitations (via email, regular mail) now and then to participate in short surveys (5 to 15 minutes long). Participation is always voluntary. If you do not wish to participate, simply do not reply. If you do choose to participate, you will receive a gift in the mail within 30 days.
Now and then, FCC conducts research projects that include in-person interviews or focus groups (group discussions). FCC may contact Vision members by telephone to ask if they would like to participate in such studies. Participation is always voluntary. Every participant receives a pre-agreed upon gift at the end of the session.
As a Vision member, you have the chance to share your vision (ideas, insights and opinions) with FCC any day, any time – you do not have to wait for us to contact you! Just go to the Vision Community and register! Participation is voluntary, but it is so much fun, you will not want to pass up the opportunity.
How often will I be contacted per year?
In order to gather statistically sound data, each time we conduct research, participants are randomly chosen, so a Vision member may get anywhere between 1 to 15 invitations per year.
Do I have to participate each time I am contacted to get my incentive?
No. Participation is always voluntary. If you decide to participate in a particular study, you will receive the described incentive within 30 days. If you participate in all studies, you will receive all the described incentives within 30 days of participation in each.
What does FCC do with my opinions and ideas?
All responses are kept confidential and results are aggregated so that FCC can use them to provide direction on business decisions. To see some examples of what FCC has done with your responses, go to the Your Vision in Action section.
What is the Vision Community?
The Vision Community is an online community where Vision members can go any time to share ideas on products, services and solutions they would like to see FCC offer. Members can post ideas, vote on ideas and discuss ideas with others. FCC will consider popular ideas, as selected by users, and review the suggestions for their business potential and viability.
