More than two-thirds of producers expect educational content (70%) and government lobbying efforts (67%) from the industry association(s) they belong to. When asked to rank-order what they expect from their industry associations, producers ranked networking opportunities as the most important, followed by educational content.

The average Canadian producer owns three-quarters (76%) of the land they farm. More than half (53%) of those surveyed indicate that they would consider purchasing rented land if it were to come up for sale and another thirty-four percent (34%) say they might.
